Providing Infrastructure Development Support in Mantowu Village, Buton Island

Buton Island, September 28th 2020 – WIKA Bitumen has done one of its commitments in the implementation of  Community Empowerment Program (PPM) in 2020 for infrastructure development in Mantowu Village, Buton Island. Providing support in the form of installing 650 meters of streetlights at 4 points of the main road in Matowu Village which was completed within 7 working days. We synergized with PLN in Pasar Wajo and the support was handed over to Head of Mantowu Village, Mr. Sapril by WIKA Bitumen’s representative, Wahyudi as KTT Kabungka on Wednesday, September 23th, 2020 at Mantowu Village Head Office.

 

In the near future, PPM Program will also be implemented in the field of education, to sign a MOU with the University of Muhammadiyah Buton (UMB) to provide scholarships for exemplary students in Buton Island, where the millennial young generation is an important asset for the progress of regional development in the future.

 

Furthermore, WIKA BITUMEN still focuses on its operational plan until the end of the year, such as operating targets with Buton Granular Asphalt (BGA) procurement project and Buton Raw asphalt (BRA) export from 2 (two) mining sites in Kabungka and Lawele as well as the existence of a new derivative product from Buton asphalt which will be released at the end of 2020.
